EPUB Package Preflight & Validator Status (Archived v4.4)
Historical v4.4 preflight snapshot: Several EPUB files were subsequently corrected and their hashes changed. For current downloadable files and official EPUBCheck results, use v4.5 official reports. This page is retained for historical reference only.
File inventory and local structural review dated 11 October 2026. Evidence applies only to the exact downloadable file SHA-256 shown below.
Important distinction: This new report is a supplementary ZIP/XML/OPF/link and basic accessibility metadata scan, NOT a new W3C EPUBCheck or DAISY ACE run. The four original examples retain separately supplied prior EPUBCheck 5.4.0 logs. New official validation and screen-reader / target-reader tests are still pending. A clean preflight does not mean the EPUB is fully compliant or accessible.

Outstanding acceptance work
- Run EPUBCheck 5.4.0 on every exact intended downloadable EPUB and preserve tool output with SHA-256 fingerprints.
- Run DAISY ACE 1.4.6 on applicable EPUB 3 editions; inspect the generated machine-readable and HTML reports, and resolve findings.
- Review EPUB accessibility metadata, semantic headings, image descriptions, tables, language, media and navigation manually.
- Test MathML visual/spoken rendering and reflow/fixed-layout reader compatibility in agreed EPUB reading systems.
- Repeat both validators on any changed EPUB package; do not reuse reports associated with an earlier SHA-256.
